What to know about getting H1N1 vaccine - CNN.com
This story is about the H1N1 vaccine and any questions that people may have about it. I have been following the story of the vaccination as I have been curious as to if it will be worth getting or not. It covers what the virus is consisted of and made up of. the age groups they would like to start seeing get first and why they are giving it. I think it's wonderful that they have fianlly completed a vaccine for something that was so tremendously dangerous in this last year and they did it so quickly. I have been given the opportunity to get the flu shot as of this H1N1 shot as extra credit for this fall for class as Southern.
I am for the first time opening my eyes to many things in this world in the medical field and especially when it comes to vaccines. I remember you had to have the Chicken Pox. and then the vaccines came out. The same when I was in the military the lots of foreign shots that one person should never have to endure that were painfuland sometimes took days to heal just to visit another country. There was always contreversary that shots caused this and that, well I still believe in some just cases that things can happen, but there are many benfits as well. I am old school I made my kids have the chicken pox instead of getting the shot, I wanted to make sure that they would have it before they were adults as they would die. That would have destroyed my heart to loose that choice.
I feel the way I do as I have seen in the last 25 years aids come into the picture and cancers new and old subside or are made tolerable to live with and many other diseases come in and fade out or simmer down. I want to see so many other things in this lifetime and if it means taking a vaccine or innoculation by goodness, I will do it as will my kids! We have the advances here in front of us for a reason and we should take advatage of them to prevent and cure it, if its possible!

I hope you are right. I just feel like the pharmaceutical companies were turning and burning to get the first cure for the h1n1 and may not be the best yet. I will see how you are doing a month or so after the shot is give to you before I make up my mind.
ReplyDeleteIt is scary to think about all the new flus that pop up ever year. The thing is that what about the people that can't get the shots. When I was a baby I almost died from my first baby shot so my mother never let me get the rest of my baby shots. Which means I have never had any been vaccined for anything.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, there is no way I would consider getting the H1N1 vaccine, I think the pharmecutical companies are making this a panic more than need to be for money. The government is all about money and the most fasest growing cells come from CANCER cells. They put cancer cells in that vaccine and I know we all have cancer cells in our body from birth but having the government just throw together this panic vaccine is crazy to me. There are drugs and birth control out on the market now that show no signs of bloodclots, anuerisms, paralyzing you, killing you for years, You never know and the side effects are usually worst than the illness itself.
