Detectives have interviewed all registered sex offenders living near a murdered Florida girl whose body was found buried in a mound of trash, but none of them are suspects in her death.Clay County Sheriff's spokeswoman Mary Justino said Friday that investigators have talked to all 161 of the sex offenders residing within a 5-mile radius of 7-year-old Somer Thompson's house."Homes have been searched, properties have been searched," she told reporters. "We feel at this time that we do not have any suspects who are members of that group. That part of the procedure has been completed."So far, police have not made an arrest in the first-grader's killing in Orange Park, a suburb of about 9,000 people just south of Jacksonville Naval Air Station.  Justino declined to comment on reports that detectives were focusing on a white van in the case.
"That is not something we're interested in divulging," she said. "We're not interested in corrupting this investigation. "Justino also said Friday that no witnesses have come forward to say they saw the little girl attacked or abducted.

Wow is all I can say on this story of another little girl.  Threw her away like garbage, what gives anybody doing anything the right to do this?  Kids are the innocent in this world!  My daughter is 10 not 7 but 10 and I hope to god nothing like this ever happens to her everytday.  Let me tell you I have public access to aevery sex offender in this area online.  They better hope nothing ever does happen to mine.  I  will spend the rest of my life finding the one who took her.   Another one taken from a family who loved her and she was walking to school!  How savage a person is to hurt a minor, a little one, a child.  They aren't even human that is just sickening.  We invest our lives raising them right and another piece of **ap takes them away.  This tears me into two.  I pray everyday for her mother and the ones in her life that loved her as they have to find her killer, a beautiful existence doesnt deserve this at all.

ST. MARTINS, Mo. — Authorities said Saturday that a 15-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder for the death of a 9-year-old central Missouri girl found in the woods two days after she went missing.  Police did not release the teen's gender or name and provided few other details about the person suspected of killing Elizabeth Olten. Cole County Sheriff Greg White has said the teenage suspect is not related to Elizabeth but was acquainted with her and is from the same area just west of Jefferson City.
Several hundred people braved soaking rain and cold weather to search a heavily wooded area near Elizabeth's home after she was reported missing Wednesday evening. Police found Elizabeth's body Friday afternoon after the suspect led them to a wooded area several hundred yards from her St. Martins house, White said.

I am hearing and reading primarily this breaks my heart and to watch a parent go through this agony makes me so sick.  How can a person be so cold and a teenager to boot!  My god what is going on in this world today?  Is it in the genetics, a chemical  imbalance, how they are raised or a mixture of all the above or not enough love?  I wonder day in and out why and how they are getting away with it ?  I know that part of it is genetics, like Schizophrenia, mental illnesses that can't be cured but to kill another and not realizing if they are a sociopath or anything of the sorts in life as a mother to that child or caregiver?  We are spoiling to much anymore and sparing the rod and not standing up and saying hey that is my kid and I am responsible we baby them instead of punish when they need it not like beating but, come on you know what I mean especially if you are a parent to a untameable kid, and they all are at times.  I was just taken aback to one of the first stories i read on the girl held for 18 years and not killed and then seeing her picture online last week and knowing she has two kids by the monster who took her and then came this story.

This poor mother, what she must be going through, chills my bones.  Finding her in the woods, Oh my god and they are keeping the details under wrap.  I think this kid should be held as an adult.  They say a child, under the age of 5 know no difference between right and wrong.  Over 5 years old they do know right from wrong, it's how they choose to apply the right and wrong in their life and at 15 yes the hormones are raging but we are taught restraint and refrainment and to not teach this 15 year old that lesson I find it hard to believe.  The kids knew the difference between right and wrong.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Police are looking for a Virginia Tech student who has been missing since Saturday.University of Virginia Police say 20-year-old Morgan Dana Harrington was last seen near the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, where Metallica held a concert that night. She had traveled from Virginia Tech for the concert. In a statement issued Monday, Virginia State Police said they are pursuing "numerous leads" into Harrington's disappearance.Harrington was wearing a black T-shirt with "Pantera" across the front in tan letters, a black mini skirt, black tights and black knee-high boots. She has long blonde hair, blue eyes, is 5-foot-6 and weighs about 120 pounds.Anyone who has seen her or has knowledge about her whereabouts is asked to call U.Va. police at 434-924-7166 or state police at 434-352-3435.

This a very short article as I just wanted to let everyone know if they didn't know or were unaware another college student is missing, even if it is in Virginia, it still does happen here as well.  There is another link for live broadcast from FOXNEWS as well it is a bit more detailed.  Why would anybody want to hurt a young one just starting their life?  There could be many factors in the brew, jealousy of their life, jealousy of them not being the love in their life?  Why why why?  I just want life for kids to be simple but to this day it still isn't, and i doubt that it ever will be.  People try and protect the world around their kids by not teaching them harsh reality of it and in someways that is a good things to never give up on the goodness that still does exist in some people but, in other ways it is bad as we have to make them aware of the evils in people that still exist.

I was protected by my parents 22 years ago and then I volunteered in the Army as a Military Police Officer to face another country and didn't have one clue what I had gotten myself into until it was all over with.  And at that time I didn't realized how to deal with life and how much I had changed inside and grew up and how trust issues evolved as I was one that never gave up hope in others and in life.  I now know that keeping my kids from the evil and horror of reallife can't and won't be a factor in their upbringing.

The father of the 6-year-old Colorado boy who was thought to have been speeding through the sky for hours in a high-soaring homemade helium balloon is a self-described "storm chaser" who now finds himself at the center of another kind of squall.A portrait is emerging of a publicity-seeking man who fled California with unsettled financial affairs and whose recent colorful past includes an appearance on ABC's "Wife Swap," a series of unusual inventions and a self-produced hip-hip video.A Foxnews.com search of public records revealed that Richard Heene, 48, and his wife, Mayumi, owe thousands of dollars in connection to a company called My You Me Productions. Prior to moving to Colorado, Heene and his wife were aspiring actors in Los Angeles who met at an acting school, a source told Foxnews.com.The state of California filed a $5,812 tax lien against Heene in 1993, and records show a small-claims judgment of $5,000 was filed against him in Los Angeles County in 2006. County tax liens totaling roughly $2,000 were found in connection to the production company, which is now known as Alternate Reality Productions, according to productionhub.com.A former associate of Heene's told Foxnews.com he met the aspiring actor and filmmaker during the mid-1990s while working in a restaurant in Woodland Hills, Calif."He was trying to be an actor, he was trying to be a filmmaker," Perry Caravello said. "He and his wife were developing films and they were developing ideas for shows and piecing together stuff for different companies."Caravello, who starred in 2003's "Windy City Heat," a made-for-television movie that appeared on Comedy Central, said Heene tried to become a part of the project but was shunned by its principals. Soon thereafter, Heene began crafting the idea of the "Psyience Detectives," Caravello said.

Oh wow!  This is what it's all about?  Interesting, what a parent to say the least.  I just don't get it.  Why bring your life out in the limelight, he must really need the attention, oh wait no it is money hes in trouble financially!  Do you honestly think any movie label production company will hire you now?  How irresponsible and neglectful and hateful one is God better be hanging onto his hand Im sure he has really Made alot of people angry in this country from him anctics!  My life would never want to be scrutinized or anything like his is, My whole manner to this is get a honest job, make a honest living, and for God's sakes
pay your bills!  You aren't all that!

A student who says he worked with Richard Heene, the amateur scientist from Colorado whose family is being scrutinized after the high-flying balloon scare involving his 6-year-old son, claims to have proof that the incident was not an accident, according to The Business Insider. The student, who remains anonymous, told The Business Insider that he worked with Heene in 2009 on potential reality show proposals to pitch to ABC, one of which was similar to the incident Thursday in which the boy was feared carried away in a homemade balloon -- only to be found safe back at home. The saga grew stranger by the day. Richard Heene knocked on the windows of journalists camped outside his home early Saturday and promised a "big announcement" in a few hours, then did an about-face when he told reporters that they should leave questions in a cardboard box on the front doorstep."Absolutely no hoax. I want your questions in the box," Heene said, waving a cardboard box before going back in the home.A circus-like atmosphere formed outside the home, including men holding signs and occasionally yelling "balloon boy." One sign read, "Put balloon boy on TV: America's Most Wanted."

This is the most disgusting story I have heard anybody doing for a reality spot and then to go on television and say it wasn't! Wow!  Oh my goodness, what is this world coming to?  From the reality with the center of attention on the couple not working on things and not the kids in a whole to this incident.  People need to grow the hell up!  Who in their right mind would allow this kind of exploitation of their kids?  We are suppose to protect them not harm them by word of mouth or physically or mentally or emotionally....I hope the government presses charges as to this is what this pig needs.

Why I felt this way, well lets just say I fight tooth and nail to protect my kids and he made it out that the kid thought this all out and decided to go against his father's wishes to do it, wait he's not a father.  I was aggitated by the media feeling it was ok to follow the story the way it did.  Like when they went on television and their son was with them, what were they thinking, was the kid really sick, or sick to his stomach from his nerves as he knew the truth and they were shot?  To lie and decieve is why this country feels it is ok to have no morals in truths anymore.  I'm just disgusted.

New York Woman, 38, in 'Top Shape' Before Sweat Lodge Death - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

NEW YORK CITY — A 38-year-old New York woman who died after sitting in a sauna-like sweat lodge during a spiritual cleansing ceremony at an Arizona resort was an active athlete — an avid surfer and hiker who was "in top shape," took self-improvement seriously and had a passion for art — a family spokesman said.
Kirby Brown of Westtown, N.Y., was one of two people who died Thursday evening at a scenic resort. Authorities identified the other victim as 40-year-old James Shore of Milwaukee, who served as director of business development at an Internet marketing company in his hometown.
That two people died and 19 others became ill at the Angel Valley Retreat Center indicates that "something went horribly wrong," according to Brown's family.
Nineteen other people were taken to hospitals, suffering from burns, dehydration, respiratory arrest, kidney failure or elevated body temperature. Most were soon released, but one remained in critical condition Saturday.
Brown had no pre-existing health conditions that would have kept her from participating in an otherwise safe activity, said cousin and family spokesman Tom McFeeley.
"Our only thought is shock, sadness and surprise," McFeeley said. "There will be plenty of time to react to the truth of what happened here, but we believe it is pointless to be angry or to place blame or to make assumptions before we understand what occurred here."
Matt Collins, who knew Shore since seventh grade, described his friend as a wonderful husband and father whose life revolved around his three kids. "Everybody who got to know him absolutely loved him," Collins told The Associated Press.
Collins said he was stunned to hear of Shore's death, and the family remained in shock.
"Right now we're trying to focus on making sure that his wife, his children are comforted during this time," he said.
Autopsies on Brown and Shore were conducted Friday, but the results weren't disclosed pending additional tests. Authorities have ruled out carbon monoxide poising as the cause.
Yavapai County Sheriff Steve Waugh said Saturday that his detectives were focusing on self-help expert and author James Arthur Ray and his staff as they try to determine if criminal negligence played a role. Waugh said Ray refused to speak with authorities and has since left the state.
"We will continue this investigation down every road that is possible to find out if there is culpability on anybody relative to the deaths of these individuals," Waugh said. He said it could be three to four weeks before they knew if criminal charges would be filed.
Ray's recent postings on his Twitter account said he was "shocked and saddened" by the tragedy.
My deep heartfelt condolences to family and friends of those who lost their lives," he wrote. "I am spending the weekend in prayer and meditation for all involved in this difficult time; and I ask you to join me in doing the same."
Ray's company, James Ray International, is based in Carlsbad, Calif. Ray's publicist, Howard Bragman, expressed condolences in a statement Friday but declined to speak about the deaths. Bragman didn't return a call for additional comment Saturday.
The Angel Valley Retreat Center is owned by Michael and Amayra Hamilton, who rented it to Ray for a five-day "Spiritual Warrior" retreat that promised to "absolutely change your life."
On Saturday, Amayra Hamilton said Ray has held the event at the resort for seven years, and there never have been any problems.
Hamilton said the resort remains closed to the public. The sweat lodge has been dismantled and a ceremony was conducted for those affected by Thursday's incident.
"The whole situation is very traumatizing for everybody," she said. The people at Ray's retreat, whose ages ranged from 30 to the 60s, paid between $9,000 and $10,000 to attend.
Ray and his staff constructed the temporary sweat lodge with a wood frame and covered it with layers of tarps and blankets, Waugh said. The sweat lodge — a structure commonly used by American Indian tribes to cleanse the body and prepare for hunts, ceremonies and other events — was 53 inches high at the center and about 30 inches high around the outer edges.
Between 55 and 65 people were crowded into the 415-square-foot space during a two-hour period that included various spiritual exercises led by Ray, Waugh said. Every 15 minutes, a flap was raised to allow more volcanic rocks the size of cantaloupes to be brought inside.  Authorities said participants were highly encouraged but not forced to remain in the sweat lodge for the entire time.
Joseph Bruchac, author of "The Native American Sweat Lodge: History and Legends," called the number of participants in the lodge "appalling."

I have no idea what in the hell they were thinking when they put so many people in one tent to cleanse their spirits.  It made me feel ill when I read this story, how could they be so negligent?  Had that been a family member of mine there would definitely be charges filed against the resort for wrongful death in regards to this situation.  Why how and when did people feel it was ok to do this?

I respect my life to much at this point and to see someone feel think this is ok I have issues with, it is all wrong all the way around....

Cops: Husband shot soccer mom as she chatted on webcam

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/10/09/gun.soccer.mom.dead/index.html

A woman shot down by her husband as she sat and talked to her male friend and while their kids were home?  Oh my god what a story, a pistol packing mother and father it seems.  She had already seperation from him being unhappy, but yet to live with him still?  What was she thinking it is so unhealthy, especially for the kids.  If one is unhappy and they file seperation, then they should leave with the kids if need be.  But it seemed to me that she was unsatisfied all the way around and just talked to someone out in the open in front of her husband.  It seems like this is not the first time of contreversary with her in that area, toting a gun to her kids soccer game and then she lost her permit.

It may seem like I am biased to this such a thing, but she was no parent, or if she was what kind of parent did she think she was?  To me I feel like she thinks she was ten foot tall and bulletproof.  Why submit your kids to violence or even the intentions of being violent by carrying a firearm?  I know when my son was at the Memorial Middle School incident three years ago the aptitude of anything like that happening in the area of Joplin,  MO was nil to none.  Well that shook up the entire community that it could happen and parents that act just like this to me are the ones promoting the violence by exposing their kids to the possiblity of violence and loosing the mental capability of knowing right from wrong.  In which this woman was totally wrong.  If she was messing around she made it known that she wasn't going to let it go.  Right under her husband's nose.

I am very against the family being non-tactful as to her husband's feelings in the whole matter, and to that fact it set him over the edge.  Which could have been the case, we really don't know because the story conflicts with the news  broadcast on cnn, it doesn't  add up when making assumptions.  And as I was raised, assumptions are dangerous.  Being a parent, if things were really that bad, she would have taken the kids and left him instead she stayed.  Others may think that there is more to the story, and that not everything is what it seems and not everything is brung out in the open, to me or another there could have been another person that shot both of them, or maybe even two, we really don't know.

Flood rescuer repeats father's heroic actions - CNN.com

Flood rescuer repeats father's heroic actions - CNN.com

Alone capped with fear this gentleman was in the same shoes his father was years prior, but had a different outcome this time around.  A young man of 37 years old never in his life posed as a saviour without selfishly thinking of himself and selflessly stepping up to save another human being, a woman that couldn't help but drown if he hadn't.  His father's fate from years prior was from another time when flood waters were high and it wasn't a car, it was a canoe, and it wasn't saving one person, but two and another drowning with him because of a frightened state of panic in which the lady he saved this time didn't freak out and kept her calm.

I think there are not enough stories of this heroism in this lifetime and if there were more selfless acts on this earth, the world might be a better and happier place to live.  This man the same age as I was months ago, I lost my father at a much older age, but, just the same every father is always a child's hero and when they are taken away from us it hurts just the same.  To me generations imitate generations, we are who we come from and how we are raised.  I am a Veteran just as my father.  And as this man a saviour to one soul as his father was to another few people.  It is just sad of his demise.

I feel strongly as to how we raise our kids is what makes tommorow's world a much more sensitive and selfless kind of world.  But the pay it forward theory has passed as people are to caught up in their own lives to realize that the world has still got people in it that are not as fortunate as the rest of us, therefore, rendering them selfish.  What will come of tommorow?  I work for a local Telephone Mobility Company as a customer service representative, and I have heard and seen some of the most selfish people of this nation and it makes me sick to think that one kid hasn't got his iphone as to where, another child has to worry of where they are going to sleep the next night.

What to know about getting H1N1 vaccine - CNN.com

What to know about getting H1N1 vaccine - CNN.com

This story is about the H1N1 vaccine and any questions that people may have about it. I have been following the story of the vaccination as I have been curious as to if it will be worth getting or not. It covers what the virus is consisted of and made up of. the age groups they would like to start seeing get first and why they are giving it. I think it's wonderful that they have fianlly completed a vaccine for something that was so tremendously dangerous in this last year and they did it so quickly. I have been given the opportunity to get the flu shot as of this H1N1 shot as extra credit for this fall for class as Southern.

I am for the first time opening my eyes to many things in this world in the medical field and especially when it comes to vaccines. I remember you had to have the Chicken Pox. and then the vaccines came out. The same when I was in the military the lots of foreign shots that one person should never have to endure that were painfuland sometimes took days to heal just to visit another country. There was always contreversary that shots caused this and that, well I still believe in some just cases that things can happen, but there are many benfits as well. I am old school I made my kids have the chicken pox instead of getting the shot, I wanted to make sure that they would have it before they were adults as they would die. That would have destroyed my heart to loose that choice.

I feel the way I do as I have seen in the last 25 years aids come into the picture and cancers new and old subside or are made tolerable to live with and many other diseases come in and fade out or simmer down. I want to see so many other things in this lifetime and if it means taking a vaccine or innoculation by goodness, I will do it as will my kids! We have the advances here in front of us for a reason and we should take advatage of them to prevent and cure it, if its possible!

Shakeup in Texas execution probe draws criticism, questions - CNN.com

Shakeup in Texas execution probe draws criticism, questions - CNN.com

Here is a story of modern day politics and the story is about a man who was wrongfully convicted and executed after the death of his 3 daughters.  In 2004, his three little girls were asleep in the house and they falsely accused him without hard evidence that would prove otherwise.  It was shakey and now that someone has got wind that the evidence is nothing to spit at, they start firing people that were involved in it as there is an upcoming election in Texas!

Wow, is all I can say!  How can the State of Texas allow this to happen?  He was a father and husband?  Falsely accusing someone of death who are we to play God without proprer evidence?  They said they didn't have enough evidence to prove arson, so why push it off on him?  Why not let it be the simple fact that the house caught fire and leave it at that?  The father I'm sure already felt horrible the fact the girls died.  Why put him thru so much more pain, but then again, mabe he's at peace with his little girls now.  But that goes to show you people still play in political mudd.

I felt a gutt wrenching feeling go straight thru to my heart, as a parent I almost lost one child years ago to a health issues, but to loose three in one night to a fire, the hell he had to live with would have been enough, my heart goes out to his family.  To this day, they still try to clear his name in wrong doing and they still play the meal ticket card of innocence.  But to cover trail up by firing people that were involved with the whole situation, doesn' t look well either.  The problems just follow you, you can't hide from them!

Bodies pile up in Detroit morgue; poor can't afford burial - Oct. 1, 2009

Bodies pile up in Detroit morgue; poor can't afford burial - Oct. 1, 2009

Story I found about bodies piling up in a morgue in Detroit, Michigan as the people whose loved ones they are and the government at this time can't afford to bury or cremate so they don't claim the dead.  It's all amazing that the country in itself has a hard time taking care of ones that are alive, but to not help the ones that are deceased and deserve to rest in peace.  They talk of how hard things are and why people don't claim their dead relatives, but my God someone needs to step up to the plate somewhere and draw the line!

I was uproared in sadness on this story.  Why in anybody's name would anybody not claim a family member when they are dead?  No matter how hard times are they need to be taken care of as well, we all have responsibilities like them or not!  I know it's not the Government's responsibility either but how can they just let them lie around like that?  I think my dad would roll over in his grave if he saw the way those people were being treated with no dignity.  What has this world ccome to?  you would also think that maybe some funeral home would even donate their services to creammate, how expensive could it be?   Im still perplexed by it all.

I think that I feel this way about this story is because nobody can speak for those dead.  They are lieing in a bag in a refrigerator, unclaimed when they were once someone's mother, father, son, daughter, friend, cousin, neighbor.  Watching someone die is hard enough, but to just let them lay around like that waiting for some peace makes my skin curl and my stomach turn.  You would think people strive everyday to get some closure on their story, what of the ones that die don't they deserve closure as well?  Maybe I'm over opinionated but something has to be done!
